HPR Staff, Spring 2017

Interested in being an editor? Want to learn how to put together a literary journal? Just want to be part of an exciting group of readers, artists, and writers?

High Plains Register is a co-curricular opportunity.

Staff members belong to a Laramie County Community College campus club/organization and can earn course credit for their work on the publication at the same time!

(To earn course credit, staff members must be registered for ENGL 2100: Literary Magazine. This is a variable credit course with flexible meeting times; participants can sign up for 1, 2, or 3 credits a semester. Instructor approval is required.)

You do not need to be a degree-seeking or full-time student to participate, but you must be enrolled as a Laramie County Community College student.

Scholarship opportunities available!

Students involved in the High Plains Register will:
  • serve as acquisition editors to solicit and manage submissions
  • serve as genre editors
  • manage and create web/social media content
  • design the print publication with desktop publishing software
  • edit copy
  • organize literary readings and open mics
  • advertise and market the publication
